"I want one remote control to run everything and is easy to use."
This is probably the phrase we here most often at our store. In essence, that is the core of home automation. The trick is that "everything" really means everything. Home automation is a system that controls all electronic subsystems in a home under one easy-to-use interface. Now you can control lighting, heating and air conditioning, security (both an alarm and video surveillance), audio & video systems and many other electronic systems with one control that is easy-to-use.

You may ask yourself why home automation is so popular. Yes, it's a cool remote control that is easy to use. However, the true power of home automation is its ability to link events with actions. An event occurs when the system receives an input command. That input can be a remote control button push, a timer event, a sensed event (like a door being opened or motion being detected) or any kind of event that can be detected. These events can also be
conditional. So, we can say an action will only occur if two or more events happen together (like a door opening within a certain time period). Actions are performing any function that the system can control (lighting, heating, security, audio/video functions, email notifications, etc.).
As you can see Home Automation is only limited by your imagination. The field is growing and new products are arriving all the time. Please contact us for a free consultation.

Here are some examples of home automation:
Party Mode (user input command): User pushes a button on keypad labeled "Party"
Action
Audio System in Living Room, Foyer, Patio and Kitchen comes on and begins playing your favorite party music playlist at pre-determined volume levels – Air Conditioning system kicks in and begins to lower temperature (as you are expecting a lot of people) – Lighting scene for entertaining turns on (Porch lights on, art-lighting on, interior cans to 50%, chandelier in Foyer and Dining Room to 80%) – kitchen TV comes on and displays front door security camera so you can see your guests arriving.
Night Time (recurring programmed security event): Action is triggered by astronomical clock occurrence
Action
Every night one hour before Sunset the porch and exterior carriage lights are programmed to come on. At sunset, any outside music zones will be shut off and if the Garage doors are open (sensor check) they are sent a command to close. Three hours after Sunset, all outside lights are shut off at the same time any exterior motion sensor occurrence that occurs with or without the alarm system being set shall flash the lights in the Master Bedroom for 20 seconds.
